None of these photos does any of the campus’s justice. If you love architecture then UC Berkeley is wonderful. Lots of lovely old buildings and neighborhoods of the same nearby. UC Santa Barbara (My alma mater) is beautifully situated near beaches but not particularly pretty as far as buildings go. UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz are rustic or near nature. Absolutely. Our local high school has at least three teachers who are ex military or ex law enforcement. They would be honored to help protect the students in their charge. Our state law allows it. But the school board doesn’t. They prefer that the teachers and the students remain helpless victims, while they get on TV and chant “Think of the children”.
